Father's Day Photo Memories

My dad is 87 years old and when I sat down to make his Father's Day card I was transported to a time when we would grab the box of pictures as children and he would tell us the stories behind them. So this card represents his treasure box of memories. I made two versions one with a dash of color and one in sepia tones. I used the postage stamp punch to recreate the old white border pictures of the 50's and earlier and the colors in the images remind me of old glass plates! I also used some distressing techniques. I know NEW for me LOL!!! But the card is still clean and simple! The challenges for this card are linked below! Enjoy your day!
challenges:
SU Only ~Father's Day
My TIme TO Craft~ Wild life preserve
ABC ~Variety
Stampin Bee ~Color Scheme
Color Q- color

Hi Donna!
I was a little sad seeing this one ... and am glad our Father's Day is not until Sept. (You know why!) But ... this is so amazingly perfect! I'm sure your dad will love it!
I have missed popping by to visit ... but family issues have been a big distraction over the last few weeks. I am looking forward to scrolling back through your recent posts and checking out your fab inspiration ... but won’t have time to comment on each! Thanks for all your special thoughts and prayers over recent days. Hugs xxaxx

Wow Donna. Love the elegant simplicity of this and your recreation of a meaningful memory. I bet your Dad will be impressed with his very creative daughter. Then again I bet he appreciated your childhood projects too! Parents! Try getting an honest critique out of them where their kids are concerned...right?
