Maine Impressions for Blown Glass Technique

We have not been to Maine in 5 years. What once was a quarterly respite had disappeared into the past and life got very busy. This weekend we were able to revisit that familiar sanctuary of nature and quiet peace and fall inlove with Bufflehead Cove once again. I had really forgotten the intense sensory feelings it could arouse and did not want to leave this morning. I came home and immediately took out the supplies for my Blown Glass technique and got to work. The colors from Color Throwdown mirrored those from the ripples of the tidal river, and the hues of a srping garden filled with lilacs and tulips and fresh mint to bring to life in this example. I took the sketch from Less is More because Maine is like that. Simply understated. The challenges from Paper Players and Crazy for Challenges allowed me to be free with anything goes, and wrap it all up in my Maine mini vacation! Thank you Harriet if you are reading. I was blessed! I hope your weekend was just as enjoyable. Hugs!

Donna, love your blown glass. And we vacation at Bufflehead Cove every fall! My favorite place in the world, and the Gotts are so wonderful. Your tidal glass cards made me think of Bufflehead Cove BEFORE I came to your site! Good job.
