Embossed Background

We make lots of cards, but so often we neglect to make sympathy cards until we need one. Here is a fun technique that is quick and easy for last minute needs, or you can simply make a few to have on hand while all of your embossing tools are handy. To make this card just mask some cardstock with butterflies or any die cut image on one side, and a torn piece of scrap paper on the other. Then dab Versa Mark all over the front of the card and heat emboss it in black. Remove the masks, and then sponge color into the butterflies or the image that you have chosen. Next add a little Bashful Blue on the light side of the card to mimic sky and clouds. Finish with a sentiment and you are done. No cutting layers or adding embellishments. Quick and Easy! ~Enjoy!
