Unscripted Build a Blossom Stampin411 Sketch

A few years back when Pick A Petal was brand spanking new I emptied the contents of the box onto my stamping table and immediately saw the face of this old guy!
Since that day he has been CASed and reinvented over and over hundreds of times. I was even excited to see him displaying 2008 in the home offices in Riverton, UT. That was the beginning of me thinking outside of the box.

When I saw the NEW Build a Blossom set and punch I was immediately thrown into that way of thinking again and was mesmerized by the idea of making those petals the softest vellum wings ever. I wanted a SWAN!!!!!! After a little thinking I was able to take five sets and create my version of the Stampin' UP! swan for the Stampin411 Sketch and Unscripted Sketches. Can you tell whiche sets I used? HINT: one was from the just finished Holiday Mini! I hope you like her. She makes a beauitiful sympathy card because as you know swans mate for life. Then if you add the nest from Nature's Nest you can create a mother swan waiting for her babies to arrive for a perfect Baby Card. Finally tuck some cute hearts under her wing and she is the perfect Love Bird! Enjoy and come back next week for a peek of the other versions I mentioned here today!

Oh my gosh! Stunning! My guess is the eye is from either the deer in Good Cheer (pp38),or let me go out on a limb and say one of the Baby Blossoms from pg 18 of the new Occasions mini.

Donna...this is absolutely amazing and I really don't want to stop looking at it! It's perfection. I want to make one too!!

This is such a beautiful and stunning card....my mind boggles at your creativity and what you see when most of us don't!

I looked through the whole catalogue wondering how you created the eye! Dinner will be late tonight!! LOL~~

I hope when you reveal the secret, you'll also sharing how you made the eye, as well as the rest of the lovely swan...I'm thinking masking technique for the eye.

As for the stamps sets you used...I only know that if I don't have them, I'll have to get them!

Thanks for sharing!!
