Nouveu Chic Garden Dreams

I am very partial to the Arts and Crafts movement of the 1920's mainly because I have a home of that era and it is reminiscent of the neighborhood I grew up in as a child. It is a most comfortable design style for me. The new designer series paper Nouveau Chic has excited me, and caused me to really delve into some different types of stamps. The one featured here is called Dream Gardens, and although it has an Asian theme it lends itself well to the Art Deco and Arts and Crafts Movement. The lovely blend of color in the designer paper was easy to replicate with the colors sahara sand and blush blossom. Of course I had to use black as my accent. Then I finished it all with a few drawn line accents as well.
The page layout itself makes for a beautiful, heirloom scrapbook page too! Our relatives of the 1910~1930 bracket would have lived when this style was predominant! How fun to put their picture on a page that is complimentary to the photograph. Enjoy, see you soon!~Donna

With all the collection of "tools"
over the last few years we are now
becoming focused on the creative
design of the card making art. This
card is a perfect example of it. I
also enjoy the same era and thank
you for bringing it to life!!

I really enjoy Asain inspired art - maybe from living there for a bit. It has a certain simplicity and richness about it - and you've certainly captured that feel here - just gorgeous Donna!
