KWERNER COLOR INSPIRATION

Goodmorning!!! 4:30 a.m. not sleepy tonight
every so often I am up round the clock and tonight was one of those nights. I can't say why it happens but by the time I look at the clock it is just not worth going to bed! I read a lot of your blogs and visited NieNie's as well. She sounds so good, and has been talking more about the plane crash in detail. This week was remarkable in so far as she let us see a glimpse of her face. She is amazing. Full of grace and strength and courage. I hope you have been following her story. It is very uplifting and I even think it will change the way you feel about life! Anyway, after I read about her day, and her sister's trip to London, I made this card for Kwerners Color Challenge! She has not done a color inspiration challenge in a while and I missed it!
SO here is my card!
The stamp is from the new set called Animal Stories! Hmmmmmm? JUST LIKE I transformed Pick a Petal into a grumpy old man way back when, I transformed the jungle giraffe into Nessy the Loch Ness Monster. Isn't he adorable!!!!! I used the stamp a majig to make his humps perfect, and made his tail with the mane from the giraffe! LOL!!!! I added a white gel pen for the sea foam on the waves, that were created with the swirl die and Big Shot, then I finished it up with glitter for the reflective ocean sea spray! Use your imagination and see what fun ideas you come up with!!!! Enjoy~Donna

Donna: That is the most darling card! Where in the world do you come up with your ideas??? I would have never have thought of creating a nessy out of that stamp set!

Must be something in the air. I woke up at 4:00 a.m.and couldn't go back to sleep so finally got up to read blogs and work on the cookbook.

Thanks for all of your comments on my blog giving me your love and support! You're the best!

Hugs! -- Linda Lou

Perhaps we can blame our insomnia on the barometric pressure or something? I normally sleep well, but all this past week I found myself wide awake at 4am too!
I love your nessie hiding behind those glittery waters! What a cool card!

Hi Donna, I love this card. How clever of you to transform the stamp into the monster...you are amazing! Thank you for your recent message and for thinking of us. We're still staying in base housing but move into our house on Monday. Hopefully soon I will be able to post pictures on my blog and get back to stamping. I miss it so much! I hope you're doing well. Thinking of you and appreciating your sweet, sweet spirit and loving kindness. Shannon

How funny! That is exactly what I have seen every time I looked at that giraffe image...more like Nessie than a giraffe! You did a great job with this card, love the "transformation"! I haven't ordered this yet but am still thinking that maybe I'll get it while it's still a preorder option...hmmm,what to do??? Jan

Thanks for sharing this adorable twist! I was excited to see a different use for the giraffe, because it makes the set so much more versatile. I found you can make a kitty and a bat from the owl stamp. You can see my first attempts here:

OMGosh, Donna! You're killing me! I just came across this card on SCS, but had to come find it here on your blog. I commented on at least 3 cards you posted June 2 or 3, which was right before we went out of town, but I know I've been back since then because I've seen some of the posts after this one, so how did I miss THIS!?! This is one of the funniest cards ever, IMO. I am totally considering CASEing it. Too, too cute!

HUGS!
